Lappato / Semi-Polished Finish

A semi-polished finish, sometimes referred to as a honed finish, is a type of surface treatment applied to tiles or stone surfaces. It falls between a fully polished and matte finish in terms of glossiness and texture.

In a semi-polished finish, the surface is ground to a smooth and level state, but it is not subjected to the same level of polishing as a fully polished surface. This results in a moderate level of glossiness that is less reflective than a fully polished finish but still imparts a subtle shine. The texture is typically smoother than a matt finish but may retain some natural variations or characteristics of the material.
